Customization made to measure: With gFM-Business Custom and the open license, we offer different variants to customize and extend the ERP system according to individual requirements. Print layouts can be customized and extended in all versions of gFM-Business using FileMaker Pro. gFM-Business Custom has the full functionality of gFM-Business Professional and also allows you to customize and extend all screens and list views according to individual requirements. New selection points can be created in the navigation and in the main menu for newly created screen masks. All functions in the layout mode of FileMaker Pro are available for customizing and extending screen masks. All changes to screen masks are automatically recorded in the integrated development environment in a log including a screenshot before and after the change. With the open license of gFM-Business, the entire application can be adapted and extended using FileMaker Pro (Advanced), with the exception of a few system scripts.
gFM-Business Custom is a customizable and expandable ERP software. The CRM-, Invoice- gFM-Business is based on a FileMaker framework with dynamic navigation and a dynamic main menu. This functionality not only allows user-defined navigation and main menus, but also enables new screen masks to be integrated into the software with just a few mouse clicks. This makes it possible to create individual views and reports even faster with FileMaker and gFM-Business.

As of version 5.6, gFM-Business Custom Pro supports the creation of new fields in most gFM-Business data tables. There is a new tab [Fields] in the settings where all integrated and custom fields can be managed.
All input types, labels and value lists of all freely definable fields can be managed in this tab. As of gFM-Business Custom Pro, a function for creating new fields is available, which can be created with the following data types:
- Text
- Number
- Date
- Time
- Timestamp
- Container (images and files)
When data is transferred as part of an update, the data from the newly created (custom) fields is automatically transferred if the fields are newly created in the new version before the data transfer is carried out.
All screens and lists customizable with FileMaker Pro
gFM-Business Custom has the full range of functions of gFM-Business Professional and additionally allows the customization and extension of screen masks and list views according to individual requirements. All tools available in the layout mode of FileMaker Pro (Advanced) are available for this purpose. As soon as a user with the appropriate authorization switches to layout mode, the integrated development environment saves a screenshot of the screen before the changes. If the layout mode is exited again after the changes, another screenshot with the changes is recorded and the user can enter further comments in the change log in a dialog for documentation purposes.
The log of all layout changes can be viewed within the integrated development environment. The layout log contains all previous changes in descending chronological order, including screenshots before and after the changes. In the development environment, new selection points can also be created in the main menu and in the navigation for newly created screen masks.
Simple expandability of all existing objects
The user interface of the gFM-Business ERP software has been further optimized in gFM-Business 4.6. This applies not only to the data content of all screen masks, but also to the entire navigation, all function menus and favorites buttons. As a result, not only have more than 10,000 layout objects been removed across the solution, but the overall performance of the software has also been increased.
All labeling and navigation objects have been converted to button bar elements in gFM Business. These objects are much easier to customize because they can be edited simply by double-clicking on the respective object. The label itself is obtained dynamically from the language table using a formula. If desired, each label object can also be directly assigned an additional symbol or a button function and the object can be reformatted if required.
With the revised user interface, users of a customizing or open license can now add customizations and extensions even more easily and quickly.
All texts customizable in all languages
gFM-Business Custom Professional and the open license allow the adaptation of all texts of the entire ERP software in all languages. This makes it possible to rename parts or entire modules in gFM-Business for use in your own processes. The software supports the automatic translation of language sentences or entire language packages with Google Translate or Deepl Pro (own API key required).
Like gFM-Business Professional, gFM-Business Custom is available as a single-user license and as a multi-user license for use in mixed networks. An installed license of FileMaker Pro (Advanced) is required on each workstation under Mac OS X or Windows. Tables, fields, scripts and functions cannot be adapted and extended in gFM-Business Custom, an open license is required for this.

With the gFM-Business ERP software, you can also purchase one or more FileMaker Pro Advanced licenses at a low bundle price. The optional FileMaker software bundle comes with one year of software maintenance including all updates and upgrades. As a rule, you will therefore receive the current version of FileMaker Pro Advanced and the next version after release.
Use FileMaker Pro to run a multi-user license of gFM-Business on a network of Mac or Windows computers. With FileMaker Pro Advanced, you can customize and extend your print layouts in all versions of gFM Business. As part of a customizing license, FileMaker Pro Advanced also allows you to customize and extend screen masks and list views and, as part of an open license, the entire ERP software according to your wishes.
FileMaker Pro Advanced also enables you to develop your own database solutions for managing any data, which can also access data from gFM-Business. All licenses of gFM-Business allow access to all data tables of external FileMaker solutions. Use your own FileMaker solutions to process data from gFM-Business or to transfer any data to gFM-Business, for example from other databases or applications.
We also offer bundle licenses with FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server from five simultaneous accesses as a purchase license. This means that both the gFM Business ERP software and the entire FileMaker software can be purchased for a one-off price.

Full customizing with the open license
gFM-Business is also available as an open license to fully customize and extend the business software according to individual requirements. With the exception of some system scripts, all tables, fields, scripts, value lists and custom functions can be accessed with the developer account in the open license. The open license contains an extended development environment with which all connected database files can be easily accessed. All FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Pro Advanced tools are fully supported in the open license. This means that the open license with FileMaker Pro behaves like ERP software that you would have developed with FileMaker itself.
