What is a FileMaker Starter Solution?

For some years now, FileMaker Pro (Advanced) has been supplied with a large number of Starter solutions. Starter solutions are small FileMaker databases that have a specific functionality and can be customized and extended by the user to meet individual requirements.

A new Starter solution can be created via the FileMaker menu bar under the item [File > Direct start...] can be created. After selecting this menu item, a direct start window appears in which the following actions can be carried out.

  • Select starter solution
  • Create your own solution (from a new, empty FileMaker database)
  • Convert existing file (e.g. from Excel or text files)
  • FileMaker Pro Tour
  • Videos and other learning resources

With the button [Show advanced solutions] opens a window in which all Starter Solutions available in FileMaker Pro are displayed and can be selected.
