The FileMaker Conference FMK2015 took place from October 8 to 10, 2015, and this year's event attracted a record number of visitors. A total of 206 participants gathered at the Novotel City Hamburg to listen intently to 23 speakers in 35 sessions. FileMaker itself was also present at the conference with 14 employees from the USA, France, the UK and Germany and also gave its own presentations.
First welcome at the Apero Riche the evening before
On the evening before the conference, guests were welcomed with a sumptuous aperitif buffet with finger food, salad dishes and drinks. The guests were able to get an initial overview of the participants present, the rooms and the planned sessions.
35 sessions with more than 200 participants
According to the organizers, there were 206 participants at this year's FileMaker Conference, who had the opportunity to choose their favorites from a total of 35 sessions and participate in them during the three conference days. Thematically, there was something for everyone in the presentations.
The four-part workshop "FileMaker Basics" covered the topics of tables, fields and relationships, layouts and scripting and was aimed at beginners to the FileMaker platform. For advanced developers, presentations were given on FileMaker Server and data security. Freelance and self-employed developers were able to find out about warranty law from lawyer Christoph Kluss. During the session "FileMaker Security" by Alexis Gehrt, even long-time developers were surprised at the ways in which unauthorized access to FileMaker databases is possible. All presentations will be available for download on the FileMaker Conference website.
