Düsseldorf-based 2K Yachting has been offering helpful software based on the FileMaker platform for sailors and motor boaters for many years. The successful logbook software "Logbook Suite" has now been available for ten years, is constantly being further developed and is popular with boat owners and charterers in over 40 flag states on all the world's oceans. Logbook is particularly suitable for skippers who have previously kept a handwritten logbook but would like to take advantage of the benefits of a digital logbook in the future. The software can be extended with optional add-ons for additional functions.
Flexible software package for macOS, Windows and iOS
With the Logbook Suite from 2K Yachting sailors and motor boaters always have all their most important data at hand in one software package. The software is characterized above all by its sophisticated user interface, which is based on the classic, handwritten logbook. During a trip, the software can also be used completely without Internet access and offers support for NMEA on-board units and GPS receivers. With the integrated SYNC service, the data can be synchronized with all other available devices.
Numerous add-ons for maximum functionality
To turn Logbook into the Logbook Suite, the manufacturer offers numerous add-ons to extend the functional scope of Logbook:
- Biography - This add-on can be used to summarize all ship voyages in a digital book, whereby manually created logbooks can also be recorded.
- Scheduler - Interactive visual scheduler for sailors and motorboaters, characterized by a particularly intuitive user interface.
- Crew - Administration module for all crew members to manage entry forms, contracts, logs and nautical mileage records.
- BoardCash - Digital on-board cash register that can be used to record and evaluate all payments made by crew members and all expenses. The software also supports multiple currencies and the updating of exchange rates from the ECB.
- First-aid kit - This module can be used to manage all medicines available on the ship with storage location and expiry date in order to always have an overview of all available medicines.
- Maintenance - With this very comprehensive add-on, maintenance work, repairs and new installations can be planned, scheduled and documented.
- Inventory - Inventory can be used to manage the entire inventory of a ship with storage location and stock. Inventory is not only suitable as a Inventory management for the boat, but just as well for the hobby room, workshop, storage and much more.
- WorldEnsigns - This module is a visual encyclopedia of maritime flags. The add-on includes interactive screens for 242 countries or regions and contains a total of 1005 flags with high-resolution details and textures.
- Budget - In February 2021, a new add-on "Budget" will be released with version 2.2, which can be used to record and evaluate the costs of the ship.

The full version of Logbook is available in the Online store of the manufacturer available from 79.00 euros, with NMEA support the software is available from 109.00 euros. All add-ons can be purchased directly from the online store and cost between €15.00 and €35.00.
