The navigation bar in gFM-Business

The navigation bar in the gFM-Business business software is used for navigation within the software and contains buttons for each menu item that can be called up. The currently active menu item is highlighted in color. gFM-Business allows navigation on two levels.

Top navigation bar

Top navigation bar in gFM-Business

You can switch between different program modules in the top navigation bar. In the standard version of gFM-Business (Version 2.6.1) it contains the modules:

  • Customers - Customer management/CRM
  • Correspondence - Correspondence management and document management
  • Invoicing - Invoicing, cash book, online banking and SEPA
  • Article - Article management, suppliers and stock
  • The company - Inventory management, logbook management, statistics
  • Settings - All default settings and master data in gFM-Business

The top navigation bar also contains the following icons on the right-hand side:

  • Group calendar - Calling up the group calendar (Professional only)
  • New instance - Opens a new window with an individual window name
  • Main menu - Switches to the main menu

Left navigation bar

The left-hand navigation bar contains all the menu items contained in the main module that was selected in the top navigation bar. The currently active menu item is highlighted in color. The following menu items are available in gFM-Business (Version 2.6.1) in the left-hand navigation bar:

  • Overview - Overview screen with tabs [Master data], [Details], [Selections], [Fields], [Media] and [Approach]
  • Addresses - Contact addresses with registers [Addresses], [Map] and [Routes]
  • Contacts - Contact persons and action chronicle with registers [Contact persons], [Actions] and [Resubmissions]
  • Services - Time recording for services with registers [Services] and [Minutes]
  • Receipts - Document overview of the contact with tabs [Quotations], [orders], [invoices], [delivery bills], [credit notes], [reminders], [SEPA] and [Bank]
  • Events - Event overview with tabs [Correspondence], [Archive], [Print orders], [Bank entries] and [Events]
  • Statistics - Customer statistics with registers [years], [months], [weeks] and [Previous years]

Correspondence/document management

  • Documents - Document overview with tabs [Document], [E-Mail] and [File attachments]
  • Templates - Document templates with tabs [template], [e-mail] and [File attachments]
  • Events - Event log of the called document
  • Document archive - Archive of scanned documents with full text search

Invoicing, cash book, banking

  • Offers - Offer documents with registers [Offer items], [+] (free fields) and [Events]
  • Orders - Order confirmations with registers [Order items], [+] (free fields) and [Events]
  • Delivery bills - Delivery bills with tabs [Delivery note items], [+] (free fields), [Tracking] and [Events]
  • Invoices - Order confirmations with registers [Invoice items], [+] (free fields), [Tracking] and [Events]
  • Credit notes - Credit memo documents with registers [Credit memo items], [+] (free fields) and [Events]
  • Reminders - Reminders with registers [Reminder items], [+] (free fields) and [Events]
  • Purchasing - Orders with registers [Order items], [+] (free fields) and [Events]
  • Cash book - Cash book and banking with registers [Cashbook], [Bank entries], [Direct debits], [SEPA transfers] and [SEPA mandates]

Article management

  • Article master - Article overview with registers [Master data], [Description], [Fields], [Online store], [Images], [Purchasing] and [Sale]
  • Article attributes - Attributes and product options for the item called up
  • Suppliers - Overview of all suppliers for the requested article
  • Article stock - Overview of stock at all storage locations with registers [Stocks] and [Inventory record]
  • Parts list - Parts lists for the called article with tabs [Parts list], [Included], [Combination item] and [Accessories]
  • Events - Event log for the article called up

The company

  • Annual statistics - Business statistics with registers [Overview] and [Previous years]
  • Monthly statistics - Business statistics with registers [Overview] and [Previous years]
  • Weekly statistics - Business statistics with registers [Overview] and [Previous years]
  • Driver's logbooks - Logbook management for any number of vehicles
  • Inventory - Management of the company inventory

Settings and master data

  • Event log - Overview of all events
  • Company master data - Company master data with registers [Company master data], [Bank details], [Locations], [Address book] (Mac only) and [Data export]
  • Specifications - Standard defaults with registers [Invoicing], [Payment], [Currencies], [Articles], [Value lists], [Fields 1], [Fields 2], [Dialogs] and [Devices]
  • Print layouts - All print layouts set up with tabs [List], [Details] and [E-mail placeholder]
  • Appearance - Appearance of gFM-Business with tabs [Appearance] and [Buttons]
  • Online store - Settings for the online store with tabs [Gambio GX2], [Manufacturer] and [Shopware]
  • Users - User administration with tabs [General], [Settings], [Permissions], [Data], [Main menu], [Buttons] and [Dialogs]

Open target mask in new instance

The navigation in gFM-Business allows you to open the target window in a new instance. To open the target mask in a new window, press and hold the [Shift]-button (upper case key) to the desired menu item.
