
However, the single-user versions gFM-Business free, Basic and Light can also be run on an iPad without any problems. To do this, all the associated files of the gFM BusinessDatabase can be copied to the iPad using the Apple program "iTunes". In this article we explain how you can transfer the databases from gFM-Business to the iPad in order to be able to use gFM-Business from an iPad.
To transfer a single-user version of gFM-Business free, Basic or Light to an iPad using iTunes, please carry out the following steps:
1. install the application FileMaker Go 15 on your iPad. You can do this either via the App Store on your iPad or via the iTunes App Store on your computer.
2. close the "gFM-Business" application if it is still open.
3. connect your iPad to the computer and start the "iTunes" program if this does not happen automatically.
4. in iTunes, select the iPad to which you want to transfer the databases in the top bar and then select the entry [Apps] from.
5. now scroll down the main screen (right-hand scroll bar) until the [File sharing] becomes visible. In the column [Apps] the installed FileMaker Go version.
6. click on the button in the right-hand column [Add]. In the following file selection dialog, navigate to [Programs/gFM-Business (free/Light)] and open the corresponding folder. Now press and hold the [cmd/strg]-button to open all files with a bright gFM business logo and the extension [.gfm] and then click on the button [Add].
All selected databases will now be copied to the iPad and you can see the progress in the top status bar of iTunes. When all databases have been transferred to the iPad, they will be in the "Documents from FileMaker Go" list.
The gFM-Business enterprise software has thus been completely transferred to your iPad and can be used by you on the iPad. To do this, open the "FileMaker Go" app on your iPad. Once FileMaker Go has started, tap the button in the bottom bar. [Device].
Now tap on the database [gFM-Business.gfm]and the program will open on the iPad. You can now log in to gFM Business with your access data. Once you have successfully logged in, the main menu of gFM Business will be available to you, just like on the computer.
