Today we have launched our customizable gFM Business ERP software has been released in an updated version 6.6. This update mainly contains bug fixes and the new cf-Systeminfo function, which provides precise information on the installed version and the associated end device for support cases.
gFM-Business 6.6 is the last version of the 6 version cycle. The brand new version 7.0 has been in parallel development for some time and will also be released within the next few weeks.
If you are planning to install an upgrade to version 7, does not necessarily have to install this latest update to version 6.6if the error corrections mentioned in this article do not affect him.

All new versions of gFM-Business merchandise management contain a revised tab in the main menu [Info]which is now based on the FileMaker Custom Function "cfSysteminfo" is based. This function was introduced by FileMaker developer Klaus Kegebein in FileMaker Magazine 202302 on pages 16 and 17. The function contains all important information about the current version, which provides assistance in a support case. With the [Update]button at the bottom left-hand edge, the information can be updated with a click of the mouse.
If you have developed other FileMaker solutions in addition to gFM-Business ERP, you can also adapt this custom function and use it in your own FileMaker solutions.
Bug fixes and improvements
- Invoice: In the module [Invoices] An error was corrected in the billing document where the label was not applied after duplicating an invoice item.
- Invoice: When creating a new individual order item in the invoice, an error could occur which has been corrected.
- Article: Error in the Article management fixed, where the article info of the Parts lists- instead of the main article in the register [Included] was displayed.
- Search mode: An error has been corrected in search mode where linked masks could not be called up during the search.
- Settings: Fixed a bug where some settings of the mask [Company master] could not be deselected.
- Settings: Fixed a bug where some settings of the mask [Specifications] could not be deselected.
- Apple iPad: An error has been corrected on the iPad where the pop-up menu of the toolbar functions could not be called up.
