gFM-Business 8.1 with Shopware 6 interface and some improvements

✅ Automatic tax maintenance for receipts

When creating new documents from the customer settings in the CRM the correct VAT rate is now automatically applied to document discounts and shipping costs. This automation not only provides greater convenience, but also minimizes sources of error when creating receipts, especially when different tax rates are used at home and abroad. The function increases accounting accuracy and reduces the maintenance effort in day-to-day business.

✅ Revised user interface for custom users

The user interface for users with the "Custom" authorization group has been revised and made more user-friendly. The update provides a better overview, more intuitive navigation and consistent displays throughout the system. At the same time, the access rights for all three authorization groups ("Full access", "Custom", "Open license") have been revised and standardized.

✅ Improved database access via all interfaces

From version 8.1, database access is possible via all FileMaker interfaces in all authorization groups. These include

• ODBC/JDBC
• XML Web Publishing (fmxmp)
• PHP Web Publishing (fmphp)
• FileMaker WebDirect (fmwebdirect)
• FileMaker Data API (fmrest)
• Access via OData (fmodata)

This opens up new possibilities for external connections, reporting solutions and individual extensions, even with reduced user rights.

✅ VAT calculation for receipts corrected

In the Invoice the calculation of multiple VAT rates within one document in the master document module has been corrected. This ensures that all tax components are posted and shown correctly - particularly important for mixed services or deliveries of goods with different tax rates.

✅ Performance optimization through new data field structure

A significant technical improvement concerns the global keys (_sGlobal) that are used throughout the solution. These have been converted from calculated formulas to number fields with automatic data input. The result: a clearly noticeable increase in the performance of the entire application, particularly with larger data volumes and complex processes.

✅ Extended support for multilingual payment methods

The handling of multilingual payment types has been improved in all voucher types. From now on, when a foreign-language voucher is created, the payment method is automatically adopted in the correct language. In addition, all payment methods are available for selection in the selected language. If the language of a receipt is subsequently changed, the payment method is now also automatically translated.

✅ Improved export for XRechnung and ZUGFeRD

The export scripts for electronic invoices have been specifically optimized. In addition to general improvements, the export in ZUGFeRD 2.1 and 2.2 Comfort format has been fully integrated. This means that gFM-Business 8.1 meets the current requirements for electronic invoice formats for the public sector and business partners in the DACH region.

Units of measure editable with UNECE/UNCEFACT codes

All units of measure and the associated abbreviations as well as the official codes according to UNECE and UNCEFACT can now be edited under [Settings > Preferences > Articles]. A practical popover button in the settings enables quick access and easy editing - particularly useful for internationally operating companies that have to work with standardized quantity codes.
