7.1 - Company master and master data

In the program section Settings > Company master data all company master data that is to be used for working with gFM-Business is configured. In addition to the address, communication numbers, legal details, bank details, departments, etc., the screen contains a Locations tab button to add additional branches if necessary, which can also be used in the maintenance of the stock.

Settings - Company master data

  • Address and Letterhead- Details of the address, communication numbers, e-mail and Internet, bank details, VAT ID, tax number, HR/registration court, managing director and a further field for free disposal.
  • Clients - gFM-Business Professional allows you to add additional clients so that you can use the ERP software with several companies. By clicking on the client, the current client can be switched and the master data can be edited. The default client can be set with the tick symbol. The last remaining client cannot be deleted.
  • Departments- Value list for all departments of the company
  • Address types- Address types that are to be used for maintaining addresses
  • Standard address number- Address number when entering a new contact
  • User standards- Tooltips, position of the main menu and appearance screen
  • Company logo- Graphics and alignment of the company logo. Insert a new logo by clicking on the [+] button above the <> field. Select any image file in the following file selection box. After confirming the file selection dialog, your company logo will appear in the corresponding field.
  • Archive documents- Select whether documents should be archived as PDF documents as part of a print process. The file name of the archived PDF documents is made up of the print ID and the prefix, separator and suffix you specify. YYYY" corresponds to the year, "MM" to the month and "DD" to the current day. Only use characters that are supported by your operating system within file names as separators.
  • Paths and directories for:

◦      ArchivingDocuments to be saved within gFM Business as part of the archiving process. If the data is to be saved on an external server, enter the full path of the remote drive here. Please note that every workstation that is to archive and view documents must have access to the remote drive.

◦      DatesDirectory for exporting appointments (.ics files), starting from the working directory.

◦      Business cardsDirectory for exporting business cards (.vcf files), starting from the working directory
