Today we have released an updated version 7.5 of the gFM-Business FileMaker ERP platform. This update includes two new products with the new open source versions and will be groundbreaking for the future. With gFM-Business 7.5, we are focusing even more on the customizability of our ERP software with FileMaker Pro.
gFM-Business Free and Light no longer available
Up to FileMaker version 18, it was possible to create solutions with a Runtime-version of FileMaker Pro, so that the user did not need their own FileMaker license to run the software on their computer. Claris has removed this function in all versions since FileMaker 19, which means that the solutions created are no longer permanently future-proof.
We have therefore removed our runtime solutions gFM-Business Free and Light from our range. The current update to version 7.5 and all further updates of the 7.x version cycle are of course still available for gFM-Business Basic and Light for registered customers. The current update can no longer be registered with a free serial number from gFM-Business Free, but only from gFM-Business Basic.
Continue using gFM-Business Free and Light with FileMaker
Currently, gFM-Business Free and Light in conjunction with the FileMaker runtime work without any problems on all current operating systems. Should problems occur in the future, the software can in principle also be used with FileMaker Pro. To do this, simply open the start file "gFM-Business.gfm" with FileMaker Pro. All registered customers of a Runtime version will receive an offer for the purchase of FileMaker Pro in the next few days.

New functions in gFM-Business Basic 7.5
gFM-Business Basic 7.5 contains several new functions. The update can be downloaded and installed free of charge by all registered gFM-Business customers.
This update cannot be registered with a serial number of gFM-Business free, but only with a serial number of gFM-Business Basic.
CRM with contact persons and campaign chronicle
The Customer management has been expanded in gFM-Business Basic to include the management of contact persons, an action log and sales templates. Save all activities of your customers and their contact persons and set resubmissions to enable optimal sales.
Resubmissions due directly in the main menu
The [Events] tab in the main menu contains a new overview of all due resubmissions that have been entered in the CRM in the action history with a resubmission date. In this way, you always have an overview of resubmissions due for your customers and suppliers.
Event and data change log
The CRM, document management, all document types in the invoice as well as article and project management contain a log of all events and changes. In the [Customers] module, the new Print layout "Data change log (GDPR)" is available.
Any number of cash registers with daily closing
With gFM-Business Basic 7.5, any number of cash registers can be managed. A daily closing with opening and closing balance can be generated and printed out for each cash register set up. Filter postings simply by search term and add accounts receivable, accounts payable and G/L accounts at the click of a mouse.
Improved functions in the developer module
The developer module included in gFM-Business Custom Basic and in the open license contains some improved features. Update the navigation and main menu for all users at the touch of a button. Add new masks to the main menu and navigation with a simple mouse click.
gFM-Business Professional with invoice receipt
In the updated version 7.5, gFM-Business Professional contains a new module for incoming invoices in the invoicing module. The new module can be used to manage incoming invoices with all items in gFM-Business. The import of electronic invoices (ZUGFeRD, Factur-X) is also planned for a future version.
In the register [Positions] any number of items can be entered for an incoming invoice. In the tab [Document image] the original incoming invoice can be saved as a PDF file or image. The module [Orders] contains new functions with which a purchase order can be fully or partially converted into an incoming invoice.
