For example, different flyers, which all have the same size and identical print properties, can also be billed across several document items with one price scale. This simplifies the calculation of printed matter or other similar products where different products are to be calculated using a single price scale and saves a lot of time in day-to-day business.

Pricing with price scale and product features

For each article, the following can be defined in article management under the [Price groups] In the price group area, any number of graduated prices can be created, both for different quantities of the item and for different customer groups. By clicking on the [+] symbol at the top right of the price group area, any number of graduated prices can be entered via a dialog.

Graduated prices in article management

In the article management, products can be added under the [Features] can be provided with any options for product properties. Properties are freely definable and can also be organized into freely definable categories. Any number of product properties can be assigned to each item.

The following options can be maintained for each product property:

  • Category - Category of the property. Example: "Dimensions". The pop-up menu is self-learning and displays all previously used categories for selection.
  • Feature - Name of the property. Example: "Length". The pop-up menu is self-learning and displays all previously used properties for selection.
  • Value - Optional value to be used for the property. Example: "200".
  • Price relevant - If a property is price-relevant, it has an additive effect on the price scale of a price group when using price groups for similar products. Example: A print shop inserts an article, e.g. a label, into a quotation that has a price scale and price-relevant properties. If another item with identical price-relevant properties is inserted into the offer, the number of both items is added and used for the price calculation from the price scale and the prices in the existing items are adjusted if necessary. This function can be used regardless of the industry if similar products, for which e.g. tools are only required once for production, are to be sold at graduated prices. If the status is deactivated, the product property has no effect on the graduated price.
  • Article group - In this field, articles can be combined into article groups. The pop-up menu is self-learning and displays all previously used article groups for selection. Articles of the same type can be grouped together in this field and selected.

Product properties in article management

In order for product properties to automatically affect the sales price during invoicing and for items with similar properties to be invoiced additively via the same price scale, the respective properties must have the "Price relevant" field activated.

Calculation of graduated prices in the invoice

In the module [Invoice] you can select the price group via which the document is to be billed in all document types. The price group can also be selected in the CRM-module [Customers > Overview] in the register [Details] can be preset to automatically set the price group of a customer when a document is created.

Price groups with product properties in the invoice

In the title bar of the tab area [Positions] the price group for the document called up can be set to the left of the button for creating new items.

In this example, we have created two articles with identical price-relevant product characteristics. As the document refers to the price group [Dealer] the prices of this price group apply as they were entered in item management. The price scale, from which a price of 80 euros applies, starts at 50 units sold. As both items have identical price-relevant product features, the graduated price of 80 euros applies to both items from 50 units sold. If the items had no price-relevant product features, both items would be in the price scale from 10 units sold with a sales price of EUR 90.
